Can you believe this was 1 year ago?
I can't either! Life has been movin' around here and it has been a crazy and fun year! I wanted to update y'all on our latest plans for the next year and years to come.
As of a week ago, Blair has started his Paternity Leave of Absence. He is taking a couple months off from being a flight instructor to be finishing the house full time. He has acquired the flying hours needed to apply for the next level employment with airlines - but we have to be ready to move where ever they need him. As a result, we need this house rental ready just in case.
Because of several articles such as this one - regarding high numbers of pilots retiring - we have decided we need to keep progressing as fast as we can so he is ready when the majors start their hiring frenzy! Our top two pick currently are Sky West and Ameriflight. Both West Coast based and have hubs in Phoenix and Seattle (our top 2 locations).
Charlotte is so excited to start Pre-K at the "Blue School"! She will be a "high functioning" peer pal in a special needs Pre-K program. We have orientation tomorrow and then she starts next week and will be in class half days - 4 days a week. She really loves school and has been practicing all kinds of skills the get ready to the "Blue School". (She calls the school that because of the blue metal roof)
Daphne is taking steps everywhere and swimming all over! She is growing way too fast - but really wants to keep up with her very active older sister. She loves to help with unloading the dishwasher on to the floor and helps with the laundry by wrapping it around her neck and smiling, then tossing it to the side. She is also quites the climber and mess maker. She has SO much personality and is our sweet cuddly girl.
We have the buckets in the hall to block our little explorer from getting in to the bathroom remodel mess. But, as you can see, we will need to come up with a new solution quick.
